Best CS2 Nades to Learn First
You do not need a hundred lineups to climb. You need the few per map that win rounds. Here is where to start.
Learn for impact, not volume
The fastest way to raise your impact is to learn the handful of lineups your team uses on every default execute. A couple of reliable smokes plus a supporting flash or molotov will carry you far further than a sprawling list you can only half-remember under pressure.
Where to start, map by map
- Mirage — the A-site CT, jungle and stairs smokes. Together they let you take A without eating three angles at once.
- Inferno — the banana CT smoke and a pit molotov. Banana control is most of B, and these two help you win it.
- Dust2 — the long cross smoke and a long doors flash. Safe long control opens up the whole T side.
- Nuke — an outside smoke for secret and a ramp flash for the A take.
- Ancient — the cave smoke for sealing the B rotation during a take.
- Anubis — a mid smoke for the bridge to make crossing water or mid far safer.
Build the habit
- Pick one map you queue most.
- Learn its two or three core smokes first.
- Add one flash and one molotov that support those executes.
- Only then move to a second map.
Community estimates suggest a focused player can have a map's core utility down in a single practice session, but treat that as a loose guide — consistency matters more than speed, and exact aim points can shift between patches.
